Plant pots

For such a simple project this thing was a booger to photograph.  The green panel above is the closest to the right color but it makes the pots more orangy.  sigh.....
Anyway, I created this project using a couple of the Watercolor Mini stamp sets from Art Impressions--Southwest and Watering Can.  I used Distress markers for my stamping and coloring.

I've been trying to improved my watercoloring skills by watching Bonnie Kreb's YouTube videos.  Bonnie is the owner of AI and the watercolor sets are her forte.  I still need lots of practice, but I am learning.
For the inside of the card I used some stamps from Altenew's Thinking of You set.

     Hope you enjoyed the card.
I will be leaving for vacation on Friday.  See you all when I get back.
     Be blessed!

Sparkly balloons

Today I have a birthday card to share with you using a whimsical balloon stamp from Purple Onion Designs.  I stamped the balloon several times using the masking technique and then watercolored them.  I also splattered a bit of the watercolor around on the card and added some Wink of Stella to them.
For the sentiment I scored an area large enough for the stamp (also from POD) and masked it off from the splattering.

I'm sending these balloons out to you all.  Celebrate whatever!

Purple Onion Designs Sale

This little guy has been busy hasn't he.  LOL  I know the feeling and I bet you do too.  Timber the Beaver and his logs are some of the amazing stamps from the Stacey Yacula collection at Purple Onion Designs.  If you like him I've got some great news for you....

That's right!  Michele is offering all her great stamps at 25% off from today through July 31st.  She even has a Sale section that will also qualify for the 25% discount.
If you love these little critters as much as I do you won't want to miss out on  this great sale.
For my card I stamped the Birch Tree Background stamp several times in London Fog gray ink and then cut out the individual trunks.  I then cut them in half or so and inked the edge with some Distress ink.  Then I stacked them willy nilly for Timbers beaver dam.  The sentiment was created with a die cut that I cut several times and layered as well as part of a POD Happy Holidays sentiment.

Look to the future

Hello friends!  Today is a bittersweet one for me.  It's my last post for Mo's Digital Pencil.  I made the hard decision to resign from the team due to the busy life that has become my norm.  I've designed with Mo's brilliant images for four years and it's been an absolute joy.
A huge THANK YOU to Mo for having me on her team and to the AMAZING Pat Frank.  You are the best my dear friend.
For my final post I have chosen Stars.  I like to look at it as Bella and Bronte looking toward the future full of bright prospects.
I used a Versamark pen to cover the stars with clear embossing powder.  The pen is pretty wide and left my stars very round and blobby instead of starry.  Not too happy with that.  Lesson learned.  The sky was inked with Distress inks.

Copics Used:
skin E00, E11, E13
hair E07, E95, E97, E99

Mo continues to offer up some of the cutest and most imaginative images.  I hope you will stay informed on all that's going on with her through the challenge blog, the Dream Team blog, and of course the Clubhouse on FB.
     Be blessed!

Design Team Thursday for Stamping Bella

Welcome to Stamping Bella's Design Team Thursday!  Today I'd like to show you a little project that helps us get more use out of our smaller stamped images.
I'm working with two stamp sets.  For my main card images I've used the Mail Chick set with it's coordinating dies.
I've also cut a piece of red cardstock and a slightly smaller piece of vellum.

The second stamp set I'll be using is the Mr. Postie's Mini Envelope Accents and some Versamark ink.

I couldn't find my regular powder tool so I just grabbed some talcum powder and used a little on the vellum to get rid of any static.  I used a paint brush to spread it all over.

Next I stamped a couple of the images from the Mr. Postie set, the small letter and air mail airplane, randomly on the piece of vellum and then sprinkled on some white embossing powder.

After heating the embossing powder with a heat gun my vellum panel was ready.  I then attached it to the red cardstock with a few little dots of glue here and there.  I went back later and added a couple more embossed imaged along the top edge to balance out the panel a bit better.

And here you have the finished card with a fun background created from those little accent stamps.

There are other stamps in the Stamping Bella collection that would make awesome backgrounds like the cherries in the Cherry Chick set, the cloud in the Edna Blows a Kiss set, and the Easter Eggs in the Row of Bunny Wobbles set
Don't let those little treasures gather dust.
Tracy
